A new commercial casting call is looking for families and individuals. The Salvation Army is getting ready to film a public service announcement. Casting directors are searching Canada for those who have been affected by poverty. The commercial will be showcasing a wide range of stories. This is a paid modeling and acting job. Selected men and women will receive $750.00 each. If you or someone you know has been in some way affected by hardships, this is an incredible opportunity to make some extra money and to help others. Because the team is looking country wide, you can be from anywhere in Canada. Auditions will be held during the week of April 23rd. Filming will take place for one day sometime in May. Jigsaw Casting Ltd. Is Seeking Individuals and Families From Across Canada Affected By Hidden Poverty For An Upcoming Salvation Army PSA!
The Salvation Army is looking Coast to Coast for people affected by poverty, but who hide it – people who you’d never expect to be living in poverty or hide their struggles (hidden poverty). Our goal is to showcase a range of stories from the elderly, to single parents, to families who experience hidden poverty in different ways.
Story Ideas/Examples: (We are open to other stories and are not limited to just these)
– A cab driver that worked as a doctor before immigrating with his family to Canada.
– An senior, still working a minimum wage job to make ends meet.
– Multiple families living under one roof because they can’t make it on their own.
– A story about hidden poverty that takes place around the Christmas Season.
Pays approximately $750 per individual if selected
You MUST be available for these key dates:
Interviews: Week of April 23rd (TBD)
(Individuals/Families outside of the GTA can do their Interview over Skype)
SHOOT: 1 Day in early May (TBD – We will travel to you)
